Fennec J.A.M. Club Story
Abigail, the younger of the three fennecs, tried fitting white socks over her large, fox ears. She was finding that her ears had been a just a tad too cold all day. She thought the socks were the right shape to help cover her ears up and keep them warm. She managed to squeeze her right ear into one sock and would have put the second one on her other ear, when Jonas walked over to her. He seemed a little confused and asked her what she was doing.
"My ears have been cold all day. I want them to be warm again," She would explain.
Jonas carefully took the one sock off her ear, and picked up the second one from her hands. "These are called socks. They go over your feet, not the ears," he kindly told her. He even goes to show her what he means by sitting down and putting a sock on each of her feet.
Jonas got both socks on put on and sat back to look over his work. The socks fit nicely over Abigail's feet and half way up her shins. But when he looked up at Abigail's face, she seemed sad. Her ears were splayed out and her whiskers were drooping a little.
Meanwhile, Maria had overheard the little conversation between her two friends. In the time that it took Jonas to put the socks on Abigail, she had found a red toque in the toy box. "You can wear this if your ears are cold," she tells Abigail. But when she tried to fit the toque on the younger fennec's head, it wouldn't sit right. Jonas and Maria tried fiddling around with the toque, folding it up even more. But it still wouldn't fit.
After a few moments, Jonas had an idea. "Try folding your ears back all the way," he suggests. Abigail looked at them both in turn, then took her hands to push back her ears. The toque sat over her head properly, finally. It felt weird, sitting over the base of her ears. But at least it was staying on her head. Abigail felt a little silly wearing the odd hat. But it passed as she found her ears and herself would stay warm over time.

[Link] | Felt rather proud for finally finishing my hand paws for my fursuit on the weekend. They ended up being a pretty good match to the feet, but with slightly softer foam material in the pads. The hand paws are more like mitts.

Major Car problems... Fixed!
A year and a half ago, I was given a Cutlass Supreme from my parents. Ever since I had it, the ride has been some what rough. The problem was primarily with a set of dead, rear struts. Then recently, my muffler started falling off. I figured it was finally time to do something about the two big problems.
First off, I dealt with the muffler with a quick run to the the shop. The bolts that held it in place had fallen off, and the connecting pipe was starting to break off. Next with that out of the way, it was a run to a friend's place, (thanks goes out to those people) in order to replace the back struts with the new ones.
With all that out of the way, /finally/, I don't have to worry about the hidden tail hitch getting mashed into the ground, or whenever I have people riding in the back seat.
So far, it feels kind of weird driving around in something that drives lot more quieter, but I'm sure I'll get used to it quickly. It's just been the highlight of my week so far.

Ok being sick just sucks the life out of almost everything...
First it starts off with a tongue sore from hell, then sore throat, now something of a bug. er well. At least I have the first season of Wagaya no Oinari Sama to cheer me up.

Creative spurt...
I sometimes get these moments of inspiration while either off sitting down waiting for something or taking a shower. Or at any time I have a chance to let my mind wander. At first it was just a few words that started coming to mind. Next thing I know it, I'm rushing to the computer to write things down before I forget anything that I just came up with. Then, it just started taking on a life of its own for a few moments.
I've been meaning to get around to writing what I would call a 'Five year report on the Falarins'. The Falarins being race of various anthros that have been working with my Online self/character's organization, for the past five years (of course). I hadn't bothered till recently to being piecing things together about who or what they are.
Below is a small selection vocabulary and a rudimentary translation of the words. I'm no where close to being a linguist, so I tried to make do with what I know. Why here? Well I'm posting in a few places to get some thoughts, maybe to see if anyone has experiences in this sort of thing. Who knows. I figured since the Falarins were raised for a time by the ancient race that created them, they had to adapt a lot of the sounds of the words to make it easier for them to speak. I don't know if I'll expand on this further yet or not.
Sun - Sarii = Light+center
(the sun was natural source of light)
Moon - Husa = dark+light
(Perhaps given because unlike the sun, the moon can be seen both in the day and the night)
Dark - Hus
Light - Sa
Center - Rii
House/shelter - Rus'Sa-Rai (outside+protection+from)
(There is no hard rules on word combinations other than to allow for smoother flow of the vocalizations)
Outside - Rus
Protection - Sa
Inside - R'was
From - Haii
To - Rauf
Land - Um'pt
Water - Oo'ss
Air - Saama (sky)
Space - Hamma (void, place of the stars)
(I know there isn't much, this was a sort of 'get it down before I loose my drive' sort of thing.)

Time for new job.
Thinking about taking suit or suit part commissions if things don't pan out so well. I'm still trying to finish mine which I'm hoping to get done in time for FC, just hope I can even attend still.

Alive, plus one teddy
Still kicking around. Work has slowed down somewhat as it usually does this time of year. Means more time for my own life, but less money in the long run. Still struggling with some personal issues but at least I'm not alone in dealing with them since the latest move.
Was heading over to a friend's back on Wednesday evening after work and decided to stop in at the nearby ValueVillage. I spotted this guy just sitting there!

He was less than nine bucks. Has a bit of heft to him too. My mind was going on about random things and the name Theo came to me for him. I loaded him up into the back seat of the car and continued on my way to my friends. The little stop over at the store to pick him up actually had me avoid a couple of accidents along route over the bridge I was going to take. Hmm, good luck teddy bear perhaps?
On a side note, my sister says shes going to be dressed up in a full unicorn suit for Halloween. I told her about the local fur group's party event the week afterward. She was wondering about going to it. Will have to see, going to meet up with her this weekend to talk about things.

Fifteen years seperated
Last weekend I got a hold of a old childhood friend of mine, (well ok his brother but we still knew each other pretty good) that I hadn't been in contact with since before high school. At the time he had told me he'd just come back from a two year stay in the states and abroad for work and was moving out of his parent's place just that day. Its a bit funny because I had only just left a message on his phone two days ago, perhaps while he was just starting his return trip to Canada.
Anyways, turns out we are going to meet tomorrow at a restaurant he hasn't been to yet that is near where his new place is. I'm finding that he seems overly curious about a lot of things. One thing was, he wondered what prompted me to get back in touch with him again. I had a few hours to kill while my car was being fixed and decided to wander through the place I grew up in. When I got home, I went through a phone book to see if they were still in the area, (the names stuck in my head and the memories that I still have) and found that they were.
I filled him in roughly about the things I've been doing in the past years, since he told me a bit about his. Only I kind of left out the furry fandom thing. When we were trying to figure out a time to meet, I told him that Saturday may not have been a good time as I was heading down to the states a bit to get some help on a 'project'. Naturally he wanted to know what the project was, even gone as far as mentioning that he helps people start businesses. What I didn't tell him was the 'project' was a fursuit I had been working on. Instead, just said that it was something I wanted to get done before a convention at the end of the month. I told him the convention was a sci-fi/fantasy thing. I promised him I'd fill him in more on things when we actually meet up tomorrow.
This is going to prove interesting at least... having to explain to him about the fandom and not knowing what his take will be on it. It would have been easier to explain it to the parents because at least we keep in constant touch with each other and I have an idea of how they might react. (they do know a bit about it. I wouldn't have been able to go to one of the conventions on the east coast if I didn't fill them in a bit on what was going on)
Oh ya, and I have yet to tell him about my fennec...

Update
Got back about 5 hours or so ago. They didn't find anything wrong. May have to talk to family doctor again and see what we can do about dietary stuff so that certain things don't happen again.
In the meantime, been told I can't really do much, like drive car, operate heavy machinery, or apparently make major legal decisions or large purchases for at least a whole day. Mostly because I'm considered to under the influence of a medication, which they used to put me under. I feel a bit woozy but nothing too serious. When I got out of the bed after the check they did on me, I was a little uneasy on my own feet but that quickly past.
Oh ya.. and I got something to eat finally even before my room mate drove me home. Yay!
So ya.. there you go.

All Done
Finished with the visit. Went over quicker than I had expected. They didn't find much wrong, just have to be careful with what what I've been eating or something. Something I'll have to talk over with the family doctor about it later on.
For now though till about tomorrow, I'll be a bit... out if it because of the sedative. Weeee... x.x

Check-up
Tomorrow I start on a clear liquid diet in preparation for a hospital visit on Thursday. It's nothing serious. Just been having some ingestion problems for several years. They are just going to take a look and see what is going on.
I've never had anything done like this before so I'm not too sure what to expect. According to what they say, I'm not suppose to drive afterwards. Luckily I have a room mate to pick me up afterwards and we practically live a few blocks up the road from the place anyways.

Trade offs
Well phone line is in now. And have access to the net at home via the dialup I never got rid of yet.
Woke up this morning to one eye being rather blurred out. It did clear up somewhat later on but I was still double edges. The clinic said I had somehow taking a layer of cells off the cornea and it will take sometime to heal.

Phone/Net update
Just got done dealing with the phone company finally. Monday is when the phoneline will be put in. And then I can get access to the net through my old dialup account, instead of having to do it at work when I'm about to go home.
For now I'll deal with getting broadband in later. I can live with dialup for the time being.

So I said it would only take a few weeks to get back online again from home in my last journal. I'm going to try and see what I can do today after work. It may still take them a little bit more time to get us hooked up after I contact the phone company. Just thought I'd update everyone.

Ground schooling
Picked up some offical books today to help start on my way to Flight ground school. I've been wanting to get into flying for ages. Now if the price of gas would just go down a little >.
